Thermally conductive phase change foil for COB LEDs

The P38 is a high-performance thermal phase change material (PCM) designed to meet the thermal reliability and price requirements of high-end thermal applications. The Series is inherently tacky, flexible and exceptionally easy-to-use. P38 is a clean alternative for thermal grease.

P38 - Phase change foil

The P38 Series is available in four thicknesses: 0.125mm (P38-13), 0.200mm (P38-20), 0.250mm (P38- 25) and 0.400mm (P38-40).

When the temperature reaches above the transition temperature of 50°C, the P38 starts to soften and flow. This causes filling of all the microscopic irregularities of the components it comes in contact with, resulting in an interface with minimal thermal contact resistance. The gradual change in viscosity (softening), minimizes migration (pump-out).

The P38 Series can be supplied as cut parts in strips and rolls with top tabbed liners for easy application. The top tabbed liner can be removed immediately or provide a protective cover during ship-ping, and can be removed at assembly. It can also be supplied in sheets and custom die-cut configurati-ons. It meets all environmental requirements including RoHS.
